My toxic shame seemed bottomless. I felt dirty in front of my therapist. He seemed so clean. It took probably years and one day I realized that I felt as clean as I had perceived him. I wish this for you.

Given that I wasn’t properly diagnosed until 2010 I’m doing great.
I’m finally in a treatment that works. My shame is largely connected to internalized stereotypes about what it means to be ‘crazy’…
